| Here is an example of how to set 4 lines of Gold Foil Stamping Letters, foundry type in a Kwikprint multiline typeholder. Place a piece of solid 12 point strip material at the top and the bottom of the type. We colored the strip material in this photo green. This strip material at the Bottom of the type is very important. It is important that the foundry type closest to the heater does not get overheated. |
| Per the old Kwikprint Catalogue the Kwikprint Multiline typeholder is identical in construction with other standard 1" and 2" Typeholders they make. However, it has a series of staggered screws mounted in each jaw that will hold individual line in place. These screws are needed when using hand set letters. The Gold Foil Stamping letters must be locked up so they don't fall out during gold stamping and embossing, these screws were designed to keep the type in place. The Multiline Typeholder designed for use with Foil Stamping Type came is several sizes: 1 x 5 3/4 1 x 9 2 x 5 3/4 2 x 9 The above photo shows the 2 x 9 head we have on our Kwikprint Model 86 |
