Points to mm


Using Goudy Light as a sample type face we get the following:

The Cap  H  is

18 point  =  5 mm
24 point  =  6.43 mm
36 point  =  9.85 mm

Using News Gothic DEEP cast Type for Leather Work
10 point = 3 mm (2.652)
12 point = 4 mm (3.695)

Reminder, all type faces vary based on the original artist/designer.  
Some type is full faced, some run small.  The font used here for example was Goudy Light.
